Hi, I’m Surgey,
Growing up, I witnessed other women struggle to find balance, inner peace, and satisfaction in their lives. I learned that fulfilling one’s family and social expectations while maintaining authenticity, strong self-esteem, and confidence was challenging. I knew I wanted to become a therapist and help women heal from past experiences, manage stress, increase their confidence, regulate their emotions, develop healthy boundaries and learn communication and conflict-resolution skills.
I completed my master’s degree at the University of West Florida in 2016. After graduating from college, my career has evolved around women’s health and needs. I worked with victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and teenage girls with multiple at-risk factors. I have worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over six years, and I opened my private practice in 2018.

I am a bilingual counselor (English and Spanish) and offers individual, couple, and group therapy. I read a lot about a variety of modalities and client issues. I seek specialized training in learning about attachment theory, the impact of childhood trauma on adulthood, interpersonal processes, and the effect of exercise and mindfulness on mental health.
I am especially interested in developing programs to help women cultivate balance and calmness and find support and empowerment to reclaim their space and control their lives.
